Iman Genealogy Website

This blog would obviously not be complete without linking to Steve Iman's great pages about the Iman family branch at http://www.imanfamily.net/. He has not only collected a treasure of information about the family, but also historical facts about the times and regions where the family migrated to and from.

The "Iman" name is in principle an acoustic translation from the German pronounciation of "Eymann". We are not sure, in which family and on which occasion the name change took place; possibly around the 1790s at Hardy County, West Virginia. But it could as well be different.
